The Lakland Skyline series has arrived!

Lakland is a high-end brand based in Chicago, USA.
Loved by many renowned players, it is a brand well-known in Japan for being used by Hidekazu Hyuga and tetsuya.

The model we’ve just received is the SK-5DX, a modern-spec model from the Skyline Japan Series that offers excellent value for money.
It is based on the flagship model, the "55-94," and shares the same pickup layout and control configuration.

While it features a distinctive, rounded, and charming body shape, it feels surprisingly natural when held, even compared to a standard JB-type guitar.

In addition to the 3-band EQ, the humbucker on the bridge side features a mini-switch that allows you to tap each coil individually.
This allows for a wide range of tones, from a 60s/70s-style JB-like sound with the tone control set to the middle, all the way to a full-on MM-style sound with the tone control turned all the way to the rear.

The sound features a core-filled midrange that is appealing in any position, making it highly versatile.
Although this is positioned as an entry-level model within the brand, the low B string has excellent tone, making it perfect for a first 5-string bass.

The neck condition and truss rod action are currently in good working order.
There is a noticeable scratch on the body top, as well as some minor scuffs.
