The OVATION C2078AXP has arrived as a used instrument.

The “Elite Plus” series features Ovation’s signature innovative round-back design and multi-soundhole configuration. This particular instrument is a 2016 C2078AXP.

Key specifications include a spruce soundboard made with exotic wood, a Lyrachord Deep Contour Cutaway body, a 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.

It is equipped with an Ovation OCP-1K pickup and an OP-Pro Studio preamp. In addition to a 3-band EQ, it features functions to adjust dynamics and tone during performance, making it suitable for a wide range of environments, including live performances and recording.

In terms of condition, signs of aging from use are evident, including dents, scratches, scuffs, and tarnish on the metal parts.

There is moderate swelling visible on the top.

The neck shows slight twisting, with the G-string side exhibiting a slight backward bow. String action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.3 mm on the D-string side and approximately 1.5 mm on the G-string side. While the guitar is currently playable, please be aware of the neck condition described above.

The truss rod has been tested for movement up to 60 degrees in both directions, and there are currently no issues with its adjustment function.

The frets have been leveled and adjusted by our shop. They are maintained at a playable height, with approximately 70% of their original depth remaining.

Regarding the electronics, there is a continuous “boo” noise when connected to an amplifier or other equipment. The cause of the noise has not been identified, and the electronics are sold without warranty. Please be aware of this in advance.
