ヴィンテージ・ノイズレスPU搭載、プレーン・メイプル・ネック仕様のクラプトン・モデル
「Urethane(ウレタン)」塗装の「2-Piece Select Alder Body(アルダー)」に、「1-Piece Maple Neck(メイプル)」。ネックシェイプは「Eric Clapton"V"」で、指板ラディアス＆フレットは「9.5" Radius ＆ 22 FretのVintage Size」。
ピックアップは「Noiseless Single Coil Strat」を3基搭載、コントロールは「Master Volume」「Master Tone」「Master Active Mid Boost」の最新スペック。
過去様々にマイナーチェンジを繰り返してきたClaptonモデルの「完成形」とも云える1本です。
今回本器の製作にあたったトッド・クラウスは1981年にシャーベル/ジャクソンでそのキャリアをスタートし、1991年からフェンダーカスタムショップに加わった大ヴェテランで実際にクラプトンやベックら著名なミュージシャンの楽器製作を数多く手がけています。
「シニア・マスタービルダーSenior Master Builder」という究極の称号を与えられ、マスタービルダーとしての役割をこなしつつ、将来のマスタービルダーとなるべき人材の育成及び指導にもあたっている人物です。
さすがマスタービルトMaster Builtクオリティ、丹念に仕上げられたメイプルVシェイプネックは左手に吸い付くように絶妙にフィットします。サウンドも過去のレースセンサーPU搭載モデルとは異なり、エッジが立ちながらもスムースで美しいサスティーンが魅力です。コントロールもシンプルな操作で、全てのユーザーも戸惑うことなくプレイできるでしょう。
見て楽しむも良し、弾いて楽しむも良しの素晴らしい逸品です。
弾いた痕跡も少なく、かなりきれいな状態でございます。

Fender Custom Shop MBS Eric Clapton Stratocaster Almond Green by Todd Krause
Clapton model with vintage noiseless PU and plain maple neck
Urethane coated 2-Piece Select Alder Body and 1-Piece Maple Neck. The neck shape is Eric Clapton "V", and the fingerboard radius and frets are Vintage Size with 9.5" Radius and 22 Fret.
Three "Noiseless Single Coil Strat" pickups are equipped, and the controls are "Master Volume", "Master Tone", and "Master Active Mid Boost".
This is one of the "completed" Clapton models that have undergone various minor changes in the past.
Todd Krauss, who started his career at Charvel/Jackson in 1981, joined the Fender Custom Shop in 1991, and has built many instruments for famous musicians such as Clapton and Beck.
He has been given the ultimate title of "Senior Master Builder," and while fulfilling his role as a master builder, he also trains and mentors future master builders.
The carefully finished maple V-shape neck fits the left hand exquisitely. Unlike past models equipped with the Race Sensor PU, the sound has a smooth and beautiful sustain with an edge. The controls are simple and easy to use, so all users will be able to play without any confusion.
It is a wonderful gem that can be enjoyed both by looking at it and by playing it.
There are few signs of playing, and it is in quite clean condition.
