Gibson 1978 S-1Natural

S-1", the sister model of the famous "Marauder", produced from the late 70's to the 80's. The body is 3-piece maple and the neck is also 3-piece maple with bolt-on joint.
The body is made of 3-piece maple, and the neck is also made of 3-piece maple with bolt-on joints.
The head is an FV head with a volute on the back of the head at the neck.
The S-1 letters are printed on the roller rod cover.

Pickups are three single pickups with bar pole pieces and clear covers developed by Bill Lawrence.
The bridge is usually a wide traveler britch, but this one is equipped with a Nashville Tune O-matic bridge.
I have never seen one with a Nashville Tune O-Matic bridge, so I assume that it has been replaced.

Controls are 1Vol/1Tone/2-way toggle switch/4-way rotary switch.

When the 2-way toggle switch is turned down, the rotary switch is canceled.
When it is in the middle, the rotary switch is on.

Explanation of rotary switch
Position 1: Front + center series wiring (humbucker-like sound)
Position 2: Center + rear series
Position 3: Front + Center series + Rear parallel
Position 4: Front + rear series (phase out)

70年代後半から80年代にかけて制作され、あの有名な、”マローダー”の姉妹モデルである、”S-1”
ボディは、3ピースメイプル、ネックも同じくメイプル3ピースでボルトオンジョイント
ヘッドは、FVヘッドを採用しておりヘッド裏ネック部分にボリュートあり。
ロラスロッドカバーには、S-1の文字が印字されております。

ピックアップは、ビルローレンス氏が開発した、バーポールピース・クリアカバーのシングルピックアップを3基搭載
通常ブリッジは、ワイドトラベラーブリッチが搭載されておりますが、こちらの個体は、ナッシュビル・チューンOマチックブリッジが搭載されております。
資料には、ナッシュビル・チューンOマチック搭載の庫内も有るらしいのですが、私は見たことがないので、恐らく交換されているものと思われます。

コントロールは、1Vol/1Tone/2ウェイトグルスイッチ/4Wayロータリースイッチ

2ウェイトグルスイッチを下側に向けた時は、ロータリースイッチキャンセル
真ん中にした場合は、ロータリースイッチONとなります。

ポジション1：フロント+センターの直列配線(ハムバッカー風サウンド)
ポジション2：センター+リアのシリーズ
ポジション3：フロント＋センターのシリーズ+リアのパラレル
ポジション4：フロント＋リアのシリーズ(フェイズ・アウト)
と多彩なサウンドメイキングが可能

トロラスロッドは、両方向ともに余裕あり、フレットは低く4割程度でございますが、現状ビリ付きはございません。
