Custom 24は、1985年のWinter NAMMで発表されて以来、細かい仕様変更を繰り返しながら、その確かなプレイヤビリティ・サウンド・ルックスで常に世界中のギタリストを魅了し続け、PRSトーンのサウンドクオリティを決定づけたモデルです。
また、Custom 24の最新モデルでは、特許取得のPRS Gen IIIトレモロ・システムと、PRS 85/15ピックアップ、5ウェイ・ブレード・スイッチを搭載。
85/15ピックアップは、ポール・リード・スミス自ら設計を手掛け、低音域から高音域までレンジが広く、歪ませた時にも音の輪郭が際立つサウンドが特徴です。

2024年モデルからはペグ・ボタンのアップデートが行われ、12フレットのバード・インレイに用いられているクーパーズホークを模したデザインのウイング・ペグを採用。
このウイング・ペグは1982年当時にポールがデザインしていたものを元に再現され、旧仕様のメタルペグに比べて軽量化されたことにより、中音域やサスティーンの減衰を抑え、より長いロングトーンと更なる音楽的なサウンドを実現します

The Custom 24 was introduced at Winter NAMM in 1985, and since then, it has continued to attract guitarists all over the world with its solid playability, sound, and looks, while repeating minor specification changes, and has determined the sound quality of the PRS tone.
The latest Custom 24 model also features the patented PRS Gen III tremolo system, PRS 85/15 pickups, and a 5-way blade switch.
The 85/15 pickups were designed by Paul Reed Smith himself, and feature a wide range from low to high frequencies, with a distinctive sound that stands out even when distorted.
