Alleva-Coppolo is handmade by Jimmy Coppolo in New York, the home of music.
The use of high quality wood is of course a given, but the unique "looseness" of the USA handmade process gives it a Fender-like sound that is favored by many studio musicians and other players.

Alleva-Coppolo is mainly JB style, but this is a rare 5-string model with "Reverse P" pickups among KBP models, which are PB style.
The Reverse P layout pickups were used in many electric basses used by musicians who played in the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal genres in the 80's. This model also has a slightly more aggressive sound than the regular KBP model. The high notes of the 1st and 2nd strings are also a little more aggressive than the normal KBP model.

The high strings of the first and second strings are closer to the neck, which gives a thicker sound, while the low strings are closer to the bridge, which gives a clearer sound with excellent treble response, as if the rear pickup position had been changed on a Jazz Bass from the 1970's. The balance of each string is excellent.
The balance of each string is very good, and it can be said that Jimmy Coppolo's exceptional sense has made it possible to achieve such a good balance.

This one was made in 2020 according to the description on the back of the PG.
It is used, but shows little signs of use, and the film on the pickguard is still intact.
There are no problems with the fretboard or rod.
This is one that I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying a new one!
