A used 2023 Murphy Lab 1954 Les Paul Standard Light Aged All Double Gold is in stock!

This model is an off-catalog order, and is made with the typical 1954 all gold finish in mind. The incoming model has been aged in Light Aged and is based on the most popular of Les Paul's, the 1959 Les Paul, with denser weather checks and light-aged hardware to replicate the age and play wear of a guitar that has been played at home.

Maple top and mahogany back on the 1954 Les Paul Standard, mahogany neck with an Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape neck shape for easy playing. The head has a "Lower Logo" with a lowered Gibson logo, faithfully reproducing the vintage look.

Two Custom Soapbar P-90 pickups are mounted. The sound of the two pickups is versatile, ranging from the crisp sound of a single pickup to a full, sweet tone.

The bridge is a wrap-around bridge, which is a characteristic of 1954 Les Paul, and the sustain and tone are very pleasant.

The condition of the guitar has aged well, and the paint is peeling on the sides of the body, but overall the guitar is in beautiful condition. The playability is good, including the truss rod, of course.
