A 1978 Sting Ray has arrived.

This is a model from the “Pre-Ernie” era, before MUSIC MAN was acquired by Ernie Ball. It’s a guitar that, in the best sense, shows its age—both in sound and appearance.

Although it has a humbucker sound, I think it has a solid, tight, and crisp tone. It features a 2-band equalizer (treble and bass) with boost only, but the sound is very intuitive and easy to work with.
