This model features an eye poplar (poplar burl) top paired with a “Trans Jeans Black 3-Tone Blue Burst” finish. This popular combination, emblematic of Mayones, features the undulating, chaotic grain characteristic of burl wood, accented by a blue burst gradient applied over a distressed black base!
It also comes with an optional clear Plexi pickguard that enhances playability during slapping while showcasing the grain and color scheme! This pickguard also contributes to a look that’s more true to the JB style, with sharp contrast. While the basic specs—ash body, maple neck, and Perferro fingerboard—are orthodox and user-friendly, the custom specifications that refine key elements really shine.
