Epiphone semi-acoustic bass, Jack Casady signature bass, made in 2013.

This is the signature model of Jack Casady, the bassist of Jefferson Airplane, a child of the 60's counterculture, and Hot Tuna, an acoustic blues unit that was active in parallel with Jefferson Airplane. Based on the LP Signature Bass, it has a maple semi-hollow body, mahogany neck, rose fingerboard, 34" scale, 1 x JCB-1 low-impedance humbucker PU, Vol/Tone/3-Position Tone Switch.

This model features a glossy natural bass tone, and although it is a single mic, the 3-position preset tone switch produces a wide variety of sounds.

It shows signs of use (color fading, scuffs and scratches, picking marks, fogging, bits and rust on metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, neck ironing, and rubbing) upon arrival. The fret board is high enough to play, and the truss rod is tightened to about 40° on the tight side.
