1979 Martin D-18 in stock!

The D-18, a 12-fret joint model like the D-28, was first produced in 1931, and in 1934 it was changed to a 14-fret joint, as is the case today.
At first it had an ebony fingerboard, but in 1947 it was replaced with a rosewood fingerboard, which is another well-known difference from the D-28.

Made at the Nazareth factory, USA
All solid dreadnought body with spruce top and mahogany side/back. Non-scalloped X bracing.
Square rod, approx. 42.5mm nut width, 25.4" long scale mahogany Neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Schaller pegs have been used since around 1979, but this one has been replaced and is now equipped with Grover rotomatic pegs.
A contact mic has been added behind the bridge, and the endpin has been replaced with a jack.
* The output is low due to its passive nature, so we recommend the use of a separate preamp or similar device when using this guitar.

After receiving the guitar, it has been cleaned, strings have been replaced, frets have been fretted, and bracing has been glued.
After that, the following maintenance has been done at a well-known guitar workshop.
Martin crack on the side of the pickguard on the top of the body has been glued and processed.
Bridge has been crimped.
The back of the neck was sticky due to age, so it has been polished and matted.

There are many weather checks on the body, neck heel, and head.
The frets, pickguard, and pegs have been replaced. The nut, saddle, and bridge pins may have also been replaced.
There is a large crack on the side of the body (1st string side), but it has already been glued and there is no problem because there is an original side brace (anti-crack) on the inside side of the body.
There are scattered touch-up marks (coloring) on the body back.
Overall, there are many repair/replacement marks, scratches, and dents, but playability is not a problem as it has been maintained.

It has a solid, dead sound that resonates comfortably and produces a strong sense of attack, giving it an emotionally rich sound.

1931年にD-28同様12フレットジョイントモデルのD-18が生産開始され、1934年には現代と同じく14フレットジョイントに変更されます。
当初はエボニー指板でしたが、1947年にはローズウッド指板に変更され、この点もD-28との違いでよく知られています。

USA、ナザレス工場製
オールソリッドのドレッドノートボディは、Topがスプルース、Side/Backはマホガニー。ノンスキャロップドXブレーシング。
スクエアロッド、ナット幅約42.5mm、25.4"ロングスケールのマホガニーNeckにはローズウッド指板が貼られています。
1979年頃からシャーラーペグになりますが、こちらの個体は交換されており、現在はGroverロトマチックペグが装備されています。
ブリッジ裏にコンタクトマイクが増設されており、エンドピンはジャックに交換されています。
* パッシブのため出力は小さめですので、ご使用の際は別途プリアンプなどのご使用をオススメします。

入荷後、クリーニング・弦交換・フレットすり合わせ・ブレーシング接着済み。
その後、著名ギター工房にて下記メンテナンス済みです。
Body Topピックガード脇のマーチンクラック接着・加工(割れ止めは施されています)済み。
ブリッジ圧着済み。
Neck裏が経年でベタつきがあったため、面出し後、艶消し仕上げ済み。

ボディやネックヒール部、ヘッドにウェザーチェックが多数ございます。
フレット、ピックガード、ペグが交換されています。ナット・サドル・ブリッジピンも交換されている可能性があります。
ボディSide(1弦側)に大きめの割れがありますが、接着がすでにされており、ボディ内部のサイドには元々サイドブレース(割れ止め)があるため問題ありません。
ボディバックにはタッチアップ跡(着色)が散在しています。
全体的に修理跡・交換跡、傷・打痕が多くございますが、メンテナンス済みですのでプレイアビリティは問題ありません。

しっかりと枯れたサウンドが心地よく響き、アタック感もしっかり出してくれ、感情豊かにサウンドを奏でてくれます。
