シリアルから1970年代中〜後期のモデルと推測される、アルミスネアの名器と称されるLudwigの定番モデル、404。
50年近い歴史を誇り、シームレスアルミシェルの生み出すドライなサステインと
マイルドでミッドレンジにフォーカスされたトーンが独特の存在感を生み出しています。
70年代のモデルはフープも薄めで、トーンも現行より若干マイルドながらも使いやすい人気の世代です。
こちらの個体は主要なパーツ(フープも)はオリジナルのようで、年代相応の傷や汚れはございますが、チューニングやインナーミュート・ストレイナーの動作には問題ございません。
スナッピーとヘッドは現行品に交換されてはいますが、音色も良好！
まだまだ十分使えるヴィンテージスネアです。

The Ludwig 404, a classic Ludwig model that is considered a masterpiece of aluminum snare, is estimated to be from the mid to late 1970s based on its serial number.
It boasts a history of nearly 50 years, and the dry sustain produced by the seamless aluminum shell and the mild, midrange-focused tone create a unique presence.

The 70's model is a popular generation with thinner hoops and a slightly milder tone than the current model, but still easy to use.
The main parts (including the hoop) of this unit appear to be original, and there are some scratches and stains commensurate with its age, but there are no problems with tuning or inner mute/strainer operation.
Snappi and head have been replaced with current ones, but the tone is good!
This vintage snare is still in good condition.
