This is a Fernandes The Revival "Burny" Series RSG-75 '63 Cherry Red!
It seems to be made in 1984-1988 from the domestic catalog and the shape of the truss rod cover at that time. (By the way, there is no serial number on Barney products of this period.)
However, the fingerboard binding shows evidence of fret edge binding, and the marble pattern on the dish position markings suggests that it may have been made in the mid-1980s!

As for the condition of this guitar, the original hardware has been maintained, and there are no traces of tampering with the solder on the control assembly, so the pickups and control assembly may be judged to be in rough original condition.
However, the pickup covers have been removed and changed to an open style. (The PU cover is missing.) In addition, the pickups have been professionally repaired in recent years.
In addition, the frets have been replaced by Pro Repair in recent years, and wider frets have been installed in an overbinding style, so it has been practically updated!
And the string nut seems to be an original bone nut that could have been diverted.
There are some minor dents, scratches, and abrasions scattered about, but they coexist in good balance with the paint damage and peeling paint, and they are a cool expression of the age of the instrument, which is about 40 years old! The neck grip and body back have no noticeable damage, and you may not feel any belt buckle marks.
By the way, it seems that urethane paint was used for the finish of this period. So, compared to the polyurethane paints that became the standard specification of various companies in the late 1980s, we can observe from the peeling paint film that the paint has changed to a thinner film due to aging, which may be reflected in the sound that maniacal Japan Vintage enthusiasts are talking about!
