1978 EG-500T with 3pcs top specs in stock!

The serial number on the back of the head indicates that it was made in 1978. There is also a decal on the back of the nut with the model name, but it has disappeared. However, if you change the angle of the decal, you can see a faint 500 on the decal, and it is determined to be an EG-500.

The body top is made of sycamore with a 3pcs top. The body back is not a pancake, but you can see it is plied. The neck is 3pcs maple with rosewood fingerboard surface, and the PUs are dated, both probably original U-1000 made in 1978. Both covers have been removed. Both rear Vol and Tone pots have been replaced. The pickguard has been removed and is missing, and the nut has been replaced in the past.

The body has scratches, scuffs, and dings. There is a gap in the binding at the right neck of the top of the body. There is a paint gap at the tip of the cutaway. There is a scratch on the lower left edge of the body top. There are scratches on the lower left edge of the body top, and dents and scuffs all around the perimeter. There are dents and scratches mainly on the lower part of the body side, giving the impression of use. The back of the body also has dents and scratches, giving the impression of use. The back of the neck has some dings and scratches, but they are not deep and do not affect playing. There is a sticker on the back of the nut. There are scratches and peeling paint on the tip of the head. There are some minor scratches on the top of the head, and some hardware has some signs of use and deterioration of the plating.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, but less in the direction to tighten. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and there is about 50-60% remaining. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

The overall condition is commensurate with its age, with some signs of use, etc. It has been finished in the 70s style, and you can enjoy the atmosphere of that time. It is a good item to reminisce about those days or to collect and compare.
