Vintage bass full of Yamaha's originality.
An early model of the model known as the Super Bass. While following the orthodox jazz bass style, it features a unique body shape and headstock.
The neck is a standard J-bass shape for an easy grip, and the deep cutaway allows easy access to the high frets, making it very playable despite its unique looks.
The tone is clear and punchy, similar to that of later Yamaha basses, with a slight inerta feel to it.
This is one that shows the attention to detail of Yamaha at the time, achieving both originality and high playability.
Rear volume has been replaced with CTS.
Overall, there are scratches, dents, and rust on the metal, showing signs of use.
There are no noticeable abnormalities on the neck, and there are no normal use problems.
