Canopus' flagship model, the hollow-body Zelkova snare drum.
The solid hollow-body snare is characterized by its thick core and impactful sound, and is a snare with a good nuke and a remarkably fast rise. They also boast a wider tuning range than is possible with plywood snares. These are the main reasons why Zelkova snare drums are favored by the world's top drummers.
Both sides of the head have been replaced (REMO 114BA/114SA), and the snappy has been replaced with one made by PURESOUND.
The original strainer was installed with 2-point upper and lower screws, but this unit has been replaced with a Noble & Cooley switch with 3-point screws, and one of the upper mounting holes of the original part has been left open. (The hole is currently covered with the original screw and nut.)
As for the butt side, the current two-point horizontal screw is replaced with a snappy adjustable upper and lower two-point fixed butt. We have checked the same age model and found that a similar butt was installed, so we believe it is probably original.
There are some minor scratches, but there are no problems in playing condition.
