Rare Yamaha SG-2000 with large head
Rare early model SG-2000 with a large head, released in 1976, is a model that is strongly descended from the "Budda SG" model that was a favorite of Carlos Santana.
Maple top and mahogany back with maple and mahogany through-neck construction. It is equipped with a gorgeous flagship specs such as an ebony fingerboard, a bridge machined with a motif, gold parts, and a brass sustain block under the bridge.
The powerful core tone, combined with the extremely long reverberation created by the thru-neck and sustain block, gives the instrument a unique presence. The walnut brown finish is presumed to be a rare color not listed in the catalog.
Pickup dates are front, 51.7.3, rear 51.6.11.
There is what appears to be a liquid drip on the body back.
Overall, there are scratches, dings, and rust on the metal, showing signs of use.
The neck is slightly twisted and wavy, but the string height has been adjusted and worn out, so there are no problems with normal use.
