USED Fender USA / 1988 Stratocaster Large Head 3-Tone Sunburst [11]

Late 1980's Fender USA Stratocaster with E8 serial number.
This Stratocaster inherits the style of the large head period, with the golden combination of alder body and maple neck, and the traditional look of 3-tone sunburst.
The pickups are black bobbin with black and white crosswire, which is typical Fender's specification of the time. The pots are made by CTS. The pots are made by CTS, and all three have the same code "R1378330", which means that the same lot of components were used.
The date stamp on the neck heel is illegible due to age, but the serial band indicates that the guitar was manufactured around 1988.
The sound is based on the attack and clarity of the maple fretboard, and the density of the alder's distinctive middle part adds a well-balanced Strat tone that is easy to handle from clean to overdrive. It also has a slightly thicker output that is typical of the black bobbin period, making it perfect for players seeking the Fender sound of the late 80's to early 90's. The neck skank is cracked near the top of the neck.

There are some scratches, dents, and metal tarnish, but there are no noticeable marks.
The first string side of the neck is slightly warped and twisted. No problems with playing condition.
