This model captures the semi-hollow sound of the ES-335 in a compact, highly maneuverable design.

This model is produced at the Memphis factory, known for its semi-hollow-body guitar line. Its appeal lies in a design that faithfully inherits the rich resonance and airy quality of the ES-335, while enhancing playability and maneuverability with a slightly smaller body.

The construction combines a maple/poplar/maple laminated body with a center block, achieving both the fullness characteristic of hollow-body guitars and the stability of a solid-body instrument. It delivers a lustrous, three-dimensional tone when played clean, and a pleasantly sticky sound that retains its definition when driven.

The neck features an easy-to-play round profile, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. Equipped with ’57 Classic-style pickups, this classic configuration offers a versatile balance suitable for any genre. Traditional hardware that contributes to the tone, such as the ABR-1 bridge and aluminum tailpiece, is also a key feature.

Built in 2017, this instrument hails from the later period of the Memphis factory, a time known for consistent quality. Given its manufacturing background—which differs from current models—this is a must-see specimen for anyone considering an ES-series guitar.
The truss rod cover has been replaced and features decorative detailing.
There is some paint reaction on the back of the body and around the strap pins. Metal parts show signs of rust, discoloration, corrosion, and verdigris.
There are some scratches and dents, and it shows moderate signs of use.
The neck exhibits reverse bowing on the low frets near the first string, with twisting and waviness. The frets have been leveled, and playability is currently good.
