2001 Historic Collection with the latest pickups.
This 2001 1958 Les Paul reissue has been replaced with an Alnico 3 Custombucker Unpotted pickup, and the capacitor has been replaced with a Montreux Bumblebee replica Retrovibe Cap "G59".
The Historic Collection has a history of 30 years, but since 1994, the first year of its release, various specification changes have been made to bring it closer to the original specifications of the 50's. Since this instrument was made in 2001, it has been replaced by a Montreux Bumble Bee replica.
This instrument was made in 2001, the year when the aluminum tailpiece and slimmer binding were adopted, and the neck has a thicker, rounded shape with the bridge retainer still in place.
Although it is not as good a reproduction of a vintage reissue as the recent Historic Collection, it is still of high enough quality to be a musical instrument, being made of high quality wood and assembled with high level craftsmanship.
In 2001, the instrument was equipped with 57Classic pickups, which have been replaced with Custom Buckers for a more lustrous sound and improved sensitivity to picking nuances for greater expressiveness.

The "Les Paul Model" logo on the head top is almost gone, and the nut and strap pins have been replaced.
The body back has numerous buckle scratches, and there are also numerous scratches and dents scattered throughout the body.
The body back and neck are faded, but there is still some reddish color on the body back.
The frets are low, but there are no problems with playing the instrument in its current condition.
The fretboard is low, but there are no problems with playability at present.
