USED Fender Custom Shop / MBS 50TH 1954 ST by John English MOD 2-Color Sunburst [12]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the 50th anniversary model 1954 Stratocaster made by the master builder John English.
This is one of the models made by several master builders in 2004, the 50th anniversary of the Stratocaster, and was made by John English, who was one of the most respected master builders of his time.
The guitar has been re-nutted/refretted and the strap pins have been replaced with Fender type pins as they were lock pins.
The pickguard seems to be original, but the pickup covers and knobs have been replaced, and the original parts are missing.
The pickups have also been replaced with a set of S2 (Alnico2) Sweet Spot Pickups, which were researched and developed by Michael Temple of Temple Guitars, a highly regarded guitar maker in the U.S. that has earned a reputation as a guitar that goes beyond vintage guitars.
It is believed that all electrical parts have been replaced along with it.
Also, there is a burr on the top of the body below the pickguard where it meets the neck end, which was probably done to adjust the truss rod without removing the neck.
Although the frets, nut, and electrical system are not original, the deep, raw tone and core of the sound is a gem that shows the depth of John English's wood selection and the precision of the integration of his advanced woodworking techniques.

The realistic brick work has been done to the entire body, and there are weather checks throughout the body. The paint is peeling off the bottom of the top of the body and there are a few dents on the neck grip that are damage from use.
The guitar has been maintained and cleaned at our repair center, and is in good playability condition.
