USED Gibson Custom Shop / Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Gloss 2012 Washed Cherry [12]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a little-used Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard made in 2012!
This is a 2012 model that follows the specifications that were much talked about at the time of the 1959 Les Paul's 50th anniversary in 2009, when it underwent a major specification upgrade.

The Historic Collection has been getting closer to vintage specs with each passing year, but the nylon nut, toggle switch ring nut, wireless ABR-1 bridge, and the position of the controls closer to the bridge are all specs that have been realized since 2009. The maple top of the body is a very nice looking instrument from the front.

The maple on the top of the body is rather modest for a 1959 Les Paul when viewed from the front, but the beautiful wood grain comes to the surface when viewed from different angles.

The neck shape is more rounded than the 2013 and later models, which allows for a firm grip and stable fingering.

The pickups are a combination of Burstbucker Type 1 & 2, and the tone is a little bouncier than the Custombucker on the 2013-present model.
There is a crack in the control knob, but it does not interfere with use.
There are some minor scuffs and scratches scattered throughout, but the hardware and paint are still shiny and in good condition with little signs of use.
The strings have been replaced and cleaned in the store, and playability is good.
