A beautiful 2012 Historic Collection with fine ribbon curl wood grain floating in lemon burst.
This is a 2012 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul, just before the major upgrade for 2013.

It follows the specifications of the 2009 update, the 50th anniversary of the 1959 model, including a nylon nut, wire-free ABR-1 bridge, new shape of the toggle switch ring, and revised neck heel shape.

The pickups are a combination of Burstbucker Type 1 & 2 pickups, which have a relatively bright and edgy sound among PAF replicas.

This model is the result of Gibson's research and efforts to make it as close to vintage specs as possible at the time of 2009.

Weighing 4.32kg, this is a heavier model for a Hiscolle 1959 Les Paul, but its sparkling clean tone and edgy drive sound stand out well in a band ensemble.
There are some minor dings scattered from the rear pickup and bridge area to the edge of the body on the 6th string side, and numerous scratches around the control knobs.
There are buckle scratches on the body back, multiple dings around the jack, and small paint spots on the 6-string side of the body.
The strings have been replaced and cleaned in the store, and playability is good.
