This long-awaited update to the Japanese-made Yamaha FG/FS series combines the aesthetics of the 1960s with the skilled craftsmanship honed over more than 50 years. By adopting a new "Gloss Finish" for the body, this new model highlights the deep, beautiful wood grain, exuding an even greater sense of luxury and elegance.

The body shape features the "FS Concert Style," which is compact, easy to hold, and offers outstanding playability. Its well-defined, rich sound character is perfect not only for responsive chord strumming but also for fingerpicking, which demands subtle nuances.

The wood materials feature a luxurious all-solid construction, with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides that produce warm, rich midrange tones.The top features Yamaha’s proprietary “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)” treatment, which delivers a warm, resonant tone with minimal harsh overtones—sounding like a well-played, aged vintage guitar despite being brand new.Furthermore, utilizing the latest acoustic analysis simulation technology, the "proprietary scalloped bracing" optimized for the FS body shape successfully expands the rich low-end response, defying the compact body size.

The headstock inherits Yamaha’s traditional V-shape and features a truss rod cover engraved with the tuning fork logo and “Since 1966,” signifying the series’ origins.Each instrument is meticulously set up by hand by skilled Japanese craftsmen, featuring a "cowbone nut and saddle"—known for its exceptional hardness and sound transmission efficiency—as well as luxurious ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, and bridge pins.

The electronics feature the innovative next-generation 3-way pickup system, "Atmosfeel." Three components—an under-saddle piezo that captures the mid-low frequencies, a preamp microphone that picks up the low-frequency body resonance, and a proprietary ultra-thin contact sensor that captures the delicate high-frequency ambience—reliably capture each frequency range.Simply by operating the simple controls on the side of the body (Master Volume, Mic Blend, Bass EQ), you can output the natural, unadulterated sound of an acoustic guitar directly through the line out.
