Adirondack Spruce and Tapered Edge Finish
One of the unique features of the FG9 and FS9 is their tapered-edge adirondack spruce faceplates. This provides structural strength and at the same time allows the body to vibrate more effectively, contributing to both power and delicacy.

Bolt-on Neck Joint
The neck features a new structural design that combines bolted-on and glued sections to increase body vibration and ease maintenance. The joint between the neck and body is finished and adjusted with high precision.

Elegant and understated Japanese aesthetics
The distinctive position markings on the fingerboard are similar to Japanese Kumiki work, and the rope inlays and purfling design around the soundhole are based on Japanese culture.

Atmosfeel(TM) pickup system
The Atmosfeel 3-way pickup system reproduces the sound components of a guitar with natural nuances that cannot be picked up by conventional pickups. The piezo sensor on the undersaddle pickup picks up the vibration of the strings, the condenser microphone mounted inside the body picks up the airy feeling inside the body of the guitar, and the contact sensor pickup made of thin and durable piezoelectric synthetic paper attached to the back of the front panel picks up the high frequencies derived from the vibration of the front panel. By combining these three sounds, the natural acoustic sound of the guitar is reproduced in its entirety.
