Sadowsky began in 1979 when Roger Sadowsky, a repairman in Philadelphia, went out on his own.
In the early 1980s, Mr. Sadowsky himself started manufacturing instruments, and the brand became a favorite of studio musicians and famous professional musicians in New York.

The "Deluxe Satin Series" is made in NYC by reviewing the production process and options, and has realized cost reductions even though it was made in the NYC workshop.
The well-known chambered body is extremely lightweight, weighing only 3.76 kg for a 5-string instrument, making it easy to handle even during long hours of playing.

The truss rod can be tightened and loosened with plenty of room to spare, and the neck condition and playability are currently excellent.
