Miyako Custom Bass Guitar continues to earn high praise for its restoration of used instruments. The latest arrival is an original model from Miyako: the Modern Vintage series.

The materials include an ash body, a maple neck, and a slab-jointed rosewood fingerboard. The all-lacquer finish and matching headstock in a Dakota Red-like color create a look that exudes understated sophistication. In addition to a semi-gloss texture, weather checking and other aging effects have been applied throughout, giving it an exceptional vibe. The neck shape is thin and narrow, close to a C-shape, ensuring smooth playability. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in every detail.
The sound is versatile, characterized by a crisp, dry tone while still conveying a sense of depth and richness. The mellow midrange is particularly exquisite, elevating the overall sound to a sweet, resonant quality.

Due to the aging treatment, it’s difficult to tell for sure, but there appear to be few visible scratches or marks added later.
The neck is in excellent condition, and the truss rod functions perfectly. There is plenty of life left in the frets, ensuring outstanding playability.
