A used 2000 Amesta has just arrived!

Need we say more? "Fender" is the undisputed pioneer of the electric bass.
The American Standard we’ve just received is one of Fender’s most enduring best-selling models. It’s a timeless classic that continues to be loved today, even as its name and specifications have evolved over the years.

Based on the neck and body dates, this instrument appears to be from 2000. Since the series was renamed the “American” series between 2000 and 2008, this model is believed to be from just before that change.
It features classic materials: a poly-finished alder body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with 20 Medium Jumbo frets. The neck has a slightly sticky texture, which is a distinctive characteristic compared to the current American Pro II models. While this model likely originally came with a white pickguard, it appears to have been replaced with a tortoiseshell one.
The sound is centered around a rich, full-bodied midrange, with a clear, well-defined low end that cuts through the mix. It is sure to make its presence felt even within a band ensemble.

There are signs of wear throughout, including scratches and small dents scattered across the body, as well as some discoloration on the parts. The pickup fenders and bridge cover are included; however, the pickup fenders are screwed into place, so there are no holes in the pickguard. The bridge fender is screwed in, and traces of the screw holes are visible.
The neck is currently nearly straight. The truss rod is a bit stiff but functions normally. There are no issues with playability.
