We have received a used EPIPHONE/ELITIST 1964 TEXAN.

This model is inspired by the Texan, known as Paul McCartney’s favorite guitar. It features the rich tone and high craftsmanship characteristic of American-made instruments. In addition to the Texan’s signature powerful and crisp sound, it offers a resonant tone and rich volume thanks to its long scale. It delivers a presence-filled resonance when strummed and expresses every subtle nuance when fingerpicked.

Key specifications include a solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany sides and back, a mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard, a standard C-shaped neck with an actual nut width of approximately 42mm, and a 648mm scale length. It features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which enhances the natural resonance of the wood.

Regarding its condition, there are dents, scratches, and some tarnish on the metal parts, showing signs of aging and wear commensurate with its age. There is black staining visible on the lower part of the body side. Additionally, there is a slight bulge visible below the bridge on the top.

The neck has a very slight forward bow and no neck lift. String action at the 12th fret is 2.4mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string. The truss rod has been tested to move 60 degrees in both directions. The frets have been leveled and have no significant unevenness; approximately 60% of the original frets remain.

It comes with the original hard case.

This is an American-made ELITIST 1964 TEXAN, a model that is now increasingly rare on the market. Combining a vintage-style look with an authentic sound, this is a guitar we highly recommend both as a collector’s item and for everyday use.
