USED FENDER USA / Jazz Bass Plus Black [03]

We’ve just received a used Fender model that stands out as one of the most innovative in the brand’s long history!

This “Jazz Bass Plus” was produced for only a brief period of about five years, from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.

It features a compact body with 22 frets, Lace Sensor pickups with a unique design, and an onboard preamp designed by Philip Kubicki, known for the Factor Bass.
Although production ended in 1995 with the launch of the American Deluxe series, this model can be considered the forerunner of Fender’s modern-spec models that continue to this day.

In addition to a 2-band EQ, it features a distinctive control system that allows you to instantly switch between three modes—passive, active, and active (mid-boost)—using a 4-position rotary switch.

The neck is twisted, with a reverse bow on the 1st string side and a forward bow on the 4th string side, and the action is set slightly high.
There is some play in the truss rod in both directions, but there is little room left to loosen it further.
Additionally, the frets are worn down and have become lower.

The entire body has fine scratches from sanding, and on top of those, there are numerous large scuffs and dents.
