We’ve just received a used 2026 Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard Ultra Light Aged!
The division led by aging master Tom Murphy uses a special, ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer developed based on years of scientific research. This authentically reproduces the superb tone and the vintage-specific weather checking—a subtle discoloration and patina that develops naturally when the guitar is carefully stored in its case.

The “Ultra Light Aged” finish is the lightest in the series, recreating the natural patina and cracks of the ultra-thin lacquer—as well as the subtle tarnish on the hardware—rather than featuring flashy scratches.

It features a carefully selected two-piece figured maple top and a lightweight one-piece mahogany back. The rosewood fingerboard features rolled edges for a smooth, comfortable grip.
Traditional hide glue is used to bond the body and neck, and a tubeless truss rod is employed. It boasts the excellent natural resonance and response characteristic of vintage instruments.

The neck shape is the “Authentic ’59 Medium C-Shape,” which offers just the right amount of grip and maintains a consistent thickness from the low to the high frets without extreme changes in thickness.

It is equipped with a Custombucker Alnico 2 (Unpotted) pickup. Compared to Alnico 3, which has a clear, mature tone, Alnico 2 has slightly weaker magnetism and is characterized by a unique粘り (stickiness) and sweet tone in the low-mid range. Even when distorted, the sound does not become thin, producing a juicy, thick drive sound.

Due to the aged finish, the details of any scratches that may have been added later are unclear; however, there are almost no noticeable scratches, and the guitar remains in excellent condition.
The neck is in good condition, and the frets show almost no wear.
All accessories, including the certificate of authenticity, are included.

This is a distinctive instrument characterized by its elegant color and the wide flame pattern that stands out due to the angle of the wood!
