The SG Standard Bass features Gibson’s traditional SG shape. This instrument stands out for its lightweight, highly maneuverable body design and a look that commands attention.

Featuring a mahogany body and neck, it delivers warm mid-to-low frequencies and rich sustain, while the short scale offers a supple playing feel. Despite its compact body, it produces a full-bodied bass tone, making it ideal not only for rock and blues but also for a wide range of genres.

It is equipped with humbucker pickups at the neck and bridge positions. Despite its simple control layout—two volume knobs and one tone knob—it offers a wide range of tonal possibilities, from the thick, sweet sound of the front pickup alone to the well-defined attack of the rear pickup and a balanced sound when mixed.

Overall, it shows signs of use typical for a used instrument, such as dents and scuffs.
Signs of use include a dent on the back of the neck, a buckle scratch on the back of the body, and a chip in the wood on the rear control panel—all of which are typical for a used Gibson bass.
