For customers residing in Japan
A used 2025 Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Ultra Light Aged has arrived!
This model features the iconic style of the 1957 Les Paul, enhanced with Murphy Lab’s “Ultra Light Aging” finish, which recreates the look of a gently played vintage instrument.

The body top is made of 2-piece plain maple, the body back of 1-piece lightweight mahogany, and the neck features a mahogany neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. Animal glue is used to bond the body top, neck joint, and fingerboard, recreating the “natural resonance” and “overwhelming sustain” characteristic of vintage instruments.

The neck features the “50s Rounded Medium C” profile, which offers a slightly sleeker and more comfortable grip than the traditional, fatter neck of the 1957 reissue. The frets are “Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall,” featuring a narrow width and tall profile that provide exceptionally smooth fingering and precise pitch.

The guitar is equipped with “Custombucker Alnico 3 (Unpotted)” pickups. By leaving them unpotted (unsealed with rosin), they offer excellent responsiveness to variations in picking intensity and nuance, producing a sweet, mellow vintage tone characteristic of vintage PAFs—clear yet responsive across a wide frequency range.

The guitar has been aged, so the details of any subsequent scratches are unclear, but there are virtually no signs of wear. There is a slight lifting of the clear coat near the back of the headstock curve, but due to the aging process, it is not particularly noticeable.
Otherwise, the neck is in excellent condition, and there is plenty of fret life remaining.

This is a well-maintained instrument with minimal signs of use, and it’s still in excellent condition for continued play!
