The American Deluxe series featured in this listing is considered the root of the current American Ultra series and is known as a popular line that seamlessly blends the traditional Jazz Bass sound with modern specifications at a high level.

The body is crafted from Premium Alder, and the neck is made of Maple with an internal graphite reinforcement rod. The fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro, featuring a 34-inch scale length and 22 frets. Additionally, the luxurious Abalone dot position markers enhance the instrument’s premium appearance.

It is equipped with two New Design Jazz Bass V humbucking pickups. These pickups feature a split-coil design, with one coil covering the 1st and 2nd strings and the other covering the 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings, delivering both excellent noise resistance and the clear, distinctive response characteristic of a Jazz Bass. Furthermore, it features a 3-band active EQ, allowing you to boost or cut the Treble, Mid, and Bass frequency ranges.You can enjoy a wide range of tones, from tight, focused bass to crisp slap sounds.

While the instrument functions perfectly, the center click on the Middle boost/cut knob is slightly loose.
The exterior shows scratches and minor scuffs resulting from age and use. There are small dents and scratches on the lower part of the body, as well as scratches on the side of the body near the strap pins and on the underside of the bridge. Additionally, the bridge shows some slight discoloration, but considering the year of manufacture, the instrument remains in relatively good condition. The truss rod functions properly, and there are no issues with playability.

In addition to its timeless black finish, this instrument—despite being manufactured in 1998—offers modern playability and sound-shaping capabilities that remain as relevant today as ever.
