A limited-edition signature model—replicating the beloved guitar used by John Lennon of The Beatles in his later years—is now in stock, with only 1,965 units available worldwide!
The Revolution model recreates the stripped-back, natural finish that John Lennon favored from 1968 onward.
Produced in 1997 with the cooperation of Yoko Ono, this high-end model was created after John’s actual guitar—which had been stored at the Dakota House—was thoroughly measured. The wooden components were meticulously assembled by Terada Gakki in Japan, and the electronics were installed, followed by final inspection and setup, at Gibson’s headquarters (Gibson USA).

This instrument is an extremely rare early-serial model, manufactured as the “45th” of a limited global run of 1,965 units. The serial number “328393,” engraved on the blue label on the back of the headstock and inside the F-hole, is identical to the serial number on the actual 1965 Casino owned by John Lennon himself.In this limited edition series, “328393” is engraved on the back of the headstock of every instrument as a tribute to John’s original guitar.

It features a 5-ply maple and birch construction that faithfully reproduces the Kalamazoo Factory specifications, along with a one-piece mahogany neck and a fingerboard crafted from carefully selected, high-quality rosewood. Another notable feature is the extremely thin, single-coat satin lacquer finish, which recreates the appearance of the original sunburst finish having been stripped away.

Furthermore, every iconic detail has been faithfully reproduced—from the traces of the nylon saddle and the replacement of the original Kluson tuners with gold Grover tuners, to the original holes left after removing the pickguard, the screw remaining at the neck end, and the poker chip plate attached to the toggle switch. The guitar also comes with a replacement black control knob for the front volume control.

It is equipped with Gibson USA Alnico-V P-90 pickups. It is characterized by the superb natural resonance produced by the thin lacquer finish and high-quality 5-ply body, combined with the sweet, harmonically rich tone of authentic USA-made P-90s—the quintessential Beatles sound.

While there are some minor scuffs on the headstock surface, paint irregularities at the tip of the headstock’s back, and some tarnish on the hardware, there are virtually no signs of wear, indicating that it was carefully stored.
It comes with a full set of accessories, including an early-production brown hard case with no signature on the lid.

This is a guitar that lets you experience the special atmosphere unique to the early production run, marked as “No. 45.” It is an extremely rare specimen and is in excellent condition, making it highly recommended as a collector’s item!
