A used 1964 ES-335 from the Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection, built in 2026, has just arrived!

The “1964 ES-335 Reissue” joined the Historic Reissue lineup in 2020!
The 1964 Gibson ES-335 is famous for having been used by Eric Clapton during his time with the Yardbirds and Cream.

It faithfully reproduces the specification changes made in the ’60s, including the slim cutaway horn shape, short pickguard, double-ring Kluson tuners, block position marks on the fingerboard, and the ABR-1 bridge with a nylon saddle!

While the “1961 ES-335 Reissue” in the same lineup features a “thinner neck shape” typical of the ’60s, this model is finished with an “Authentic ’64 Medium C-Shape” based on scan data from a vintage original, and its slightly thicker profile is another attractive feature!

It’s equipped with unpotted Custom Buckers featuring Alnico 3 magnets.
With its VOS finish giving it a subtle, understated look, this is a guitar we highly recommend—not just for its appearance, but for its sound as well!

Although this guitar was manufactured this year, it has overall dents, including a deep dent near the strap pin at the body end that reaches the wood. Gibson has repaired it, and it is in perfect playing condition. About 90% of the frets remain, and we’ve confirmed the truss rod has 6 degrees of travel in both directions, providing ample adjustment range.
