The Albert Hammond Jr. Stratocaster is a guitar with a unique sound and striking style that defines a generation of young guitarists who started their bands in their garage. When recording guitar tracks for his solo work—including the acclaimed album *Francis Trouble*—and for The Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr. chose a 1985 reissue of a ’72 Strat.The Albert Hammond Jr. Stratocaster reproduces his unique customized pickup switching. Positions 1 and 3 are reversed from traditional switching, so Position 1 activates the middle pickup and Position 3 activates the bridge pickup. Additionally, Position 4 activates both the neck and bridge pickups.The back of the ’70s-style large headstock is engraved with Albert Hammond Jr.’s signature, and the guitar features other iconic ’70s elements, including a bullet truss rod nut, a 3-bolt neck plate stamped with an “F” and incorporating an adjustable Micro-Tilt, and vintage-era logos.

The ceramic single-coil pickups, crafted for authentic Fender tone, have been custom-designed to match his bold and intuitive playing style. The controls follow a traditional layout, consisting of a master volume and two tone controls (one for the neck pickup and one for the middle pickup). A vintage-style 6-saddle synchronized tremolo bridge ensures stable tuning.The neck is a modern “C”-shaped maple neck, and the vintage-style rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius is equipped with 21 medium-jumbo frets.

There are some minor signs of wear, such as fine scratches, but no noticeable damage.
The nut slots are in good condition, and the neck is in excellent shape.
The truss rod has plenty of play left, and the frets show almost no wear, making this a guitar in excellent playing condition.

It comes with the original gig bag.
