Manufactured in 1992, two years after the Les Paul Classic was introduced
We have received a Les Paul Classic that has been modified to feature three pickups and a Bigsby unit.

This Les Paul Classic features a two-piece maple top with pinstripes, a solid mahogany back, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.
The headstock features a silk-screened “Les Paul MODEL” inscription in addition to the Gibson logo. The tuners, originally Kluson, have been replaced with Grover Rotomatic tuners.

The neck, which features a slim-taper profile, has been fitted with medium-jumbo frets and features angular dish inlays.

The modified body is originally designed for a two-pickup configuration, but since a center pickup is installed, the wood has been machined and the cavity has been coated with conductive paint. As a result, it is impossible to determine whether this instrument is a “Plus” or “Premium Plus” model, so it has been classified as a “Plus.”
Additionally, although it originally featured a stopbar tailpiece, the stud holes have been filled, and it is now equipped with an aluminum Bigsby B12 Original Kalamazoo Series. The bridge has been replaced with an ABM 2400n-RO Nashville-style bridge with roller saddles, and the control knobs are Gibson Speed Gold Knobs.

It is equipped with three VAN ZANDT “TRU BUCKER 4C” pickups and features controls for Rhythm Vol, Center Vol, Treble Vol, Master Tone, and a 3-way selector. The wiring is configured so that the center pickup is always blended in, regardless of the selector position; turning down the Center Vol allows you to use either the front or rear pickup individually.
Genuine Gibson pots are used, along with Orange Drop capacitors. The control cavity originally housed short-shaft pots and has been countersunk.

The finish is the classic Heritage Cherry Sunburst, and the combination of three pickups and a Bigsby gives it a truly unique look. The pickguard is missing.
It is in relatively good condition, with only minor scratches, scuffs, and dents from use. It has the weather checking on the headstock characteristic of Gibson USA guitars, but the frets have been replaced and have about 90% of their original height remaining; we have also confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
