USED HOHNER / Bartell Black Widow Fretless [05]

This is a very rare bass guitar, Black Widow, which was sold by ACOUSTIC (Acoustic Control Corporation), a famous amp maker used by Jaco Pastorius and Jongee. This guitar has the same type of Schaller pegs used on the split-head Buson EB-O, and the pickups seem to be from the HOHNER brand made by Bartell in the U.S.A. The guitar has a natural finish, but this brown finish is very rare.

The brown sunburst finish is a rare color (although this bass itself is rare). The fret line is stopped up to the 3rd string, which is more visible and easy to pitch. The pots have been replaced, and the aluminum sheet inside the cavity was probably put on later. Black nylon strings are currently stretched, so if you play it by touching the pickup mounting ring, the ground will fall off. 0

Incidentally, the guitar version of this model is soberly known for its use by Jimi Hendrix. What a joke!
