A used 2008 Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 has just arrived!!

Serial No.: 1289715; this is a 2008 model. It features a rare sunburst finish.

As the name suggests, the D-18 Authentic 1937 is a model that faithfully reproduces the design of a pre-war guitar from 1937.

Adirondack spruce is used for the top and bracing, while genuine mahogany is used for the back and sides. It features a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard andbridge, Butterbean Waverly tuners, Madagascar rosewood veneer, dot fretboard inlays, a painted Delmar pickguard, tortoiseshell-pattern binding, a steel T-bar truss rod, glue-jointed construction, and 1937-style forward-shifted scalloped bracing—these vintage-specific specifications are what make the Authentic Series so appealing.

The finish features a low-gloss “Vintage Gloss” finish that evokes a vintage-like atmosphere; its subdued appearance is reminiscent of the good old days of acoustic guitars. The neck features a shape that gradually tapers to a sturdy, thick profile toward the joint, providing a secure grip and a sense of stability, allowing you to fully enjoy the feel of a vintage guitar.
