The Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Series 1958 Stratocaster (NOS, Inca Silver Metallic with Gold Hardware) has arrived!

This is an extremely rare 1958 Stratocaster reissue from the Fender Custom Shop. When it comes to the Custom Shop’s ’50s reissue models, the 1954 and 1956 specifications were the mainstream at the time, whereas the 1958 specification was produced in limited quantities and is known as a rare model that is still rarely seen today.

The body features Inca Silver, which exudes an elegant sheen; paired with gold hardware, it creates a distinctive look that adds a touch of luxury to the vintage style. It radiates a refined presence without being overly flashy, allowing you to fully appreciate the high-quality aesthetic unique to the Custom Shop.

The guitar is equipped with Fender Custom Shop single-coil pickups (black bobbins). With their modest output, they offer a vintage-oriented output balance characteristic of ’50s Stratocasters. Since the middle pickup is not an RWRP model—a feature often associated with vintage-style guitars—the configuration is designed to evoke the feel of an original ’50s Stratocaster.

The sound is incredibly appealing, characterized by the crispness typical of a Stratocaster, yet with a smoothness that avoids any harshness. The high frequencies are transparent yet refined, with a rounded, elegant nuance; in clean tones, the separation of chords and rich harmonics really stand out.

It also responds well to picking, naturally adapting to everything from subtle nuances to powerful driven tones. This guitar combines the expansive tone of a ’50s-style Strat with the high-quality sound character unique to the Custom Shop.

Weighing approximately 3.37 kg, this Stratocaster is well-balanced and easy to handle. It causes minimal strain even during long playing sessions, successfully balancing rich resonance with excellent playability.

A rare 1958 reissue featuring the attractive Inca Silver finish, gold hardware, and a vintage-feel sound produced by Fender Custom Shop pickups. Crafted in the late 1990s—often considered the golden age of the Custom Shop—this is a precious instrument of high value, whether as a collector’s piece or a player’s instrument.

While there are some minor scratches and dents, it is in relatively good condition considering its age.
After purchase, we performed a full setup at our repair center, ensuring excellent playability.
