We’ve just received a beautiful pre-owned Freedom Custom Guitar Research Dulake Flat-4st!

The body features a laminated construction of Premium Figured Maple, Wenge, and 2-piece Alder. The clear attack and prominent highs of the figured maple, the tight mid-to-low frequencies of the wenge, and the natural, easy-to-play tone of the alder blend together to create a superbly balanced sound. This design offers the wide dynamic range expected of a high-end bass while still delivering a distinct musical warmth.

The neck is crafted from maple and incorporates Freedom’s proprietary “ARIMIZO & One Point Joint” construction. This creates a strong sense of unity between the neck and body, contributing to fast attack and rich sustain. Additionally, the neck features the FCGR FAT U profile. It offers a firm grip while naturally conforming to the hand during play, providing a stable feel even during extended playing sessions.

The guitar is equipped with FCGR Stainless SP-SF-09 Warm frets. These frets offer the exceptional durability characteristic of stainless steel while, as the name suggests, providing a warm texture; they are characterized by a natural sound that avoids excessive harshness. Furthermore, the use of a Real Carbon Nut ensures uniform resonance from open strings to high positions, along with stable tuning performance.

The guitar is equipped with the FCGR Original Bass HB PU 4st pickup, which, when combined with the original preamp, delivers a wide range of sounds—from a thick, powerful humbucker tone to subtle nuances. It balances clear definition with rich low-end response, making it a versatile instrument ready for use across various genres.

Weighing in at 3.73 kg, it is exceptionally lightweight for a multi-layered body in this class. It offers excellent playability and reduces strain during performance, all without compromising on sound quality in the slightest.
