In 2013, the Gibson Custom Shop made significant specification changes to the Historic Collection. Subsequently, in 2015, after thoroughly researching various aspects of the original vintage Les Paul, the True Historic line was born.

Production was limited from the very beginning, and every detail—from the body to the parts—faithfully recreates the original vintage model.

Production ended around 2017, making this arguably the greatest collection in history. Today, even on the used market, these are few and far between, making them quite difficult to come by.

This particular instrument exudes an incredible aura, starting with its finish. It also features a natural wood grain. It’s equipped with Custom Buckers, and at 3.97 kg, it has a well-balanced weight.

Its sound is truly “the essence of a Les Paul.”

As for its condition, while there are minor dents and scratches, some aniline bleeding on the binding, and slight fading of the red tones, it remains in relatively good shape. Of course, playability—including the truss rod—is excellent.
