The quarter-sawn maple neck features a Modern “D” neck shape, and the back of the neck is finished with a smooth-to-the-touch Ultra Satin finish.

The 10–14-inch compound radius ebony or quarter-sawn maple fingerboard features the Ultra Rolled Edge with carefully rounded edges, and is equipped with medium-jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots, and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut.

The tapered neck heel and deep body contour provide easy access to the upper frets, while the headstock-adjustable truss rod allows for quick neck adjustments.

The American Ultra II Precision Bass is equipped with Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups, delivering a wide range of superb sounds—from warm, vintage-style tones to crisp, modern tones—all free of hum.

The patented S-1 switch allows you to toggle between active and passive pickup modes, providing either passive tone control or active 3-band EQ tone control that adjusts the midrange frequency band.
