Mike Stern is a highly accomplished guitarist in the contemporary jazz guitar scene. His music and playing style—which boldly fuse various elements such as jazz, funk, blues, and hard rock—have evolved alongside this guitar, which sparks the player’s imagination.
From the subtle nuances of picking to the punchy attack of hard chord cuts, the sensitive pickups and body faithfully convey the player’s expression.

This beloved instrument, which I’ve used as my main guitar since 1997, has evolved even further thanks to Yamaha Music Craft’s exceptional woodworking techniques and precision craftsmanship.

Pickups
The combination of two Seymour Duncan pickups—the "'59" (front) and the "Hot Rail" (rear)—boasts a rich variety of sounds, ranging from clean tones to warm and mellow tones to distortion.

Body & Neck
The single-cutaway, two-piece light ash body with a one-piece maple neck fits the player’s body perfectly, and its outstanding body balance ensures a stress-free experience even during long live performances.
