This is an Epiphone FT-79, 1964 TEXAN (Made in Japan/Terada Gakki).

Texan is a round-shouldered acoustic guitar created in 1958, succeeding the model F.T.79. It was produced until around 1970, and has since been reissued in Limited and other formats. The original TEXAN was used and loved by famous musicians such as Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, and Noel Gallagher. It is especially famous that Paul McCartney used a 1964 TEXAN when he produced the Beatles' "Yesterday," and it has been used on stage since then.

This model is a reissue based on the 1964 TEXAN, with solid spruce top, mahogany side/back, non-scalloped X bracing, slim neck, long scale with about 40.5mm nut width, 3 sets of white button pegs, and adjustable bridge saddle. It features an adjustable bridge saddle.

An L.R. Baggs Lyric has been retrofitted to make it an electric acoustic. It shows signs of use (color fading, chipping on the fingerboard at the 4th fret on the 1st string side, scratches around the head and outer perimeter, scratches from playing, picking marks, buckle marks, ring marks on the back of the neck, cloudy/bitz on metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string change, rod adjustment, string height adjustment, rubbing, nut adjustment) upon arrival, and the truss rod can be adjusted to +/- 60 degrees.

TexanはモデルF.T.79を受け継ぎ、1958年に誕生したラウンドショルダーのアコースティックギターです。1970年ごろまで生産され、その後はLimitedなどで復刻されてきました。オリジナルTEXANは、Paul McCartney、Peter Frampton、NoelGallagherなど著名ミュージシャンに使用され愛されてきました。中でもPaul McCartneyが、TheBeatlesの「Yesterday」を製作したときに1964年製TEXANが使用されたことはあまりにも有名な話で、その後もステージなどで愛用されております。

本モデルは、1964年製TEXANを基調とし復刻されたもので、BODYはソリッドスプルースTop、マホガニーSide/Back、ノンスキャロップドXブレーシング、スリムなネックは約40.5mmナット幅でロングスケール、3連のホワイトボタンペグにアジャスタブル・ブリッジサドルが特徴です。

L.R.BaggsのLyricを後付けし、エレアコ仕様になっています。使用感(色ヤケ、1弦側4フレット部指板欠け、ヘッド周りや外周に当てキズ、スレや弾きスジ、ピッキング痕、バックル痕、ネック裏指輪痕、金属パーツやネジ類の曇り・ビッツ、等々の外観ダメージ)が見られます。

入荷時にセットアップ(クリーニング・弦交換・ロッド調整・弦高調整・すり合わせ・ナット調整)済み、フレット山は演奏に問題ない高さがあり、トラスロッドは締める方向・緩める方向調整可能で±60°まで動作確認済みです。
