This is a Fernandez/Barney MV-65NS, a reverse TB-style model made around the 1990s.

As the "NS" designation suggests, this model is inspired by the guitar used by Nikki Sixx. It features a basswood body, a bolt-on maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with position marks identical to the original. It also boasts a brass nut, a PJ pickup configuration, and a clean spec sheet featuring only a volume control.

It boasts an impressive look with gold hardware contrasting against the black finish. Known in Japan for being used by ZIGGY’s Norio Toshiki, this Reverse TB-type bass is a great choice for those who want to play with a pick.

The bridge, strap pins, and one pot have been replaced. There are signs of use (paint chipping on the outer edges of the body, minor scratches and scuffs, wear and playing lines, picking marks, discoloration, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage). The felt lining inside the case has deteriorated over time, and red lint may transfer to the guitar when stored.

Setup was performed upon arrival (installation of 2 strap pins, replacement of 1 pot, cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good condition.
