USED Martin / D-28 [Vintage/1976]

A 1976 Martin D-28 has arrived!

The "D-28" is Martin’s flagship model.
The D-28 was first introduced in 1931 with a 12-fret joint, followed by a 14-fret joint version in 1934.
The all-solid dreadnought body features a spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back.
The top features non-scalloped X-bracing and is fitted with an ebony belly bridge.
The mahogany neck, with a nut width of approximately 43 mm and a 25.4-inch long scale, is fitted with an ebony fingerboard.
A square rod is embedded in the slightly sturdy neck.
The headstock is equipped with Grover Rotomatic “milk bottle” tuners.

* The bridge pins and end pin have been replaced.

Serviced at a renowned guitar workshop upon arrival!
The pickguard has been replaced (black PVC sheet, 0.5mm thick); the Martin crack alongside the pickguard has been repaired (glued, reinforced, filled, and polished); the top brace detachment has been fixed; the neck angle has been adjusted; the fingerboard has been repaired; the frets have been replaced (Jescar Vintage); the nut and saddle have been replaced (cow bone); and the fingerboard detachment has been repaired.
Minor dents, scuffs, scratches, playing marks, and age-related paint discoloration and fading are visible.
On the top, there are traces of the aforementioned repairs next to the pickguard, and a paint crack remains between the pickguard and the bridge.
Considering it’s been 50 years since it was made, it’s in relatively good condition and plays very well!

It features pleasant sustain, excellent response, and appealing high frequencies!
