The Yamaha FG-850 is a traditional Western-style guitar from the FG series, featuring an all-mahogany body in the iconic FG shape.

It features wooden binding along the body edges, black binding around the neck and headstock, a solid mahogany top, mahogany sides and back, a nato neck, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge with binding, a 43mm nut, a 650mm scale length, and Rotomatic tuners.

With its elegant appearance, this all-mahogany model from Yamaha’s flagship FG series—despite being an entry-level model—is characterized by a lustrous, warm, and powerful sound, making it highly recommended for beginners.

Signs of use (such as scuffs, play lines, picking marks, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage) are visible.

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, deburring, and nut groove correction). The frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to ensure it moves smoothly up to 60° in both directions.
