A 1970s Old K Zildjian from the so-called “New Stamp” generation
The K Series has continued to be produced by hand-hammering in Turkey, the birthplace of cymbals.
The “Newer New Stamp” represents the final generation, manufactured from 1972 to 1977, and is a series that combines exceptional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic.
22-inch models are rare and hard to find, and it’s practically a miracle to find one in such good condition.

For a 22-inch Old K, this is a slightly heavier specimen.
It has a slightly higher pitch, producing a cohesive and beautiful stick sound; the sustain is rich and dark, with soft, warm, and rich overtones that spread out.
It also has a sense of power, giving it a presence that won’t get lost even in a big band.

The center hole is about 1.5 mm—not extreme, but on the smaller side.
Although there are some fingerprints, it doesn’t look heavily used, and there is no damage to the edges.
For a vintage cymbal, it’s in excellent condition.
